Right now I’m all about a soft and natural makeup look. The sun has been shining and I’m spending lots of time outdoors, so I’m staying away from heavy makeup and smoky eyes at the moment.
That said, I have been loving this little eyeshadow trio I picked up at Target the other day. It is the Pacifica Love3 Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow, which contains the shades “Ethereal,” “Lovely,” and “Dreamy.”
What drew me to this product was the fact that these eyeshadows are free of parabens, phthalates, talc, FD&C colors, mineral oil, petroleum, propylene glycol, and gluten!
This trio only cost $10, and I really love how minimalist the packaging is. I already know this little compact will be great to toss in my travel makeup bag.
Strangely, neither the packaging nor Target’s website specifies which name is for which color. So I’ll be referring to them as brown, coral, and cream.
The brown color is a soft brownish/taupe matte shade. The color applies nicely, but it is very buildable if you want more intensity. I can already tell it will be perfect for blending into the crease of my eyelid.
The coral shadow is a lovely glowy shade with hints of rose gold and is actually quite pigmented.
Finally, the lightest color is a cream colored shadow with a bit of shimmer in it. Don’t worry, it is not sparkly so you can apply this shade quite liberally.
When I wore this on my eyes, I began by applying the cream shadow all over my eyelid, up to my brow bone and onto the inner corner of my eyes. I then applied the brown shadow into my crease, blending well.
You could easily stop here if you want a very simple and natural contoured eye look.
But I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the coral color. I applied this onto my lid and outer corner of my eye, carefully blending. This shade really makes the palette, and the slight sheen of the shadow is so flattering on the eyes.
I love how long-wearing the formulation is too. I did apply an eye primer first (as I always do before using shadow), and by the end of the day there was zero creasing or fading.
I have been wearing this eye look for a solid two weeks at least, and I have a feeling it will be accompanying me till the end of summer.
